CrayFish

The crayfish can consume large amounts of aquatic vegetation, and could affect fish habitat. They look like small lobsters and are often caught close in to a bank using maggot. They do not swallow the bait but hang on to it while eating it. So you will need a childrens fishing net when seeking these. Carefully lift your tackle and if a Crayfish is on and while it is still in the water swiftly scoop them in to the net.

If you are using crayfish for bait, do not release them into a lake or river!
